    Spotlight On: Palmetto Bay

With so many diverse and vibrant areas throughout Miami, Team Citron is excited to spotlight some of our team’s favorite neighborhoods. Today, Realtor Associate Meghan Alderman walks us through the many atttributes of Palmetto Bay.

Palmetto Bay; noun; an incredibly family-friendly neighborhood; boundaries extend from 136 St south to SW 184 St, west to South Dixie Highway and east to Biscayne Bay.

I’ve been a resident of Palmetto Bay for almost 10 years, and this is a fabulous place to raise a family. Living in Palmetto Bay has many benefits that lend itself to a unique lifestyle: beautiful parks, tree-lined streets, and wonderful schools.

Another plus is the local presence of boutique shopping and yummy restaurants. Check in for fine Italian cuisine at Alaine’s Osteria or grab the BEST Pho in town at Pho Thang, garnished with their family grown herbs. And, don’t forget to stop for some fresh seafood at Golden Rule or dine-in under their Tiki Hut. Perhaps you’re in the mood for a slice of NY-style pizza at the once known Farm Stores that turned into pizza drive-thru, Roma Pizza. The newest joint to add to the list is Pig Floyd’s BBQ. This place has been years in the making and truly embodies the Palmetto Bay atmosphere of family, friends and community. The BBQ is outrageous and you can enjoy both live music and good company – there is fun and games for all to share.

Palmetto Bay is also perfect for traveling via golf cart! As long as it’s registered, you can roam freely in your mini ride. Or, you can log-on to the Freebee On-Demand Service, which is the Village’s green, gas-less, on-demand vehicle that picks you up and takes you anywhere within Palmetto Bay for free.

Don’t’ forget to explore the true meaning of the “Village of Parks” and all of these beautiful public recreations available:
